Thanksgiving Dip with Swirl Bread Dipping Sticks

Make your Thanksgiving that much yummier with this dip and Cranberry Swirl Bread dipping sticks!

Ingredients

6 slices of Thomas' Cranberry Swirl Bread cut into thirds
1 cup leftover turkey, pulled
4 oz gruyere cheese, shredded
5 sage leaves
1Ž2 cup pomegranate arils
1 cup cranberry gravy (ingredients below)
1 cup maple mashed sweet potatoes (ingredients below)
1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons melted butter

Cranberry Gravy:
1/4 cup turkey drippings (fat from roasted turkey)
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups chicken stock
1 cup cranberry sauce
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon salt

Maple Mashed Sweet Potatoes:
1 cup leftover mashed sweet potatoes
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

1. To make cranberry gravy, heat drippings over medium heat in a medium sauce pan. Beat in flour with whisk and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. 2. Gradually beat in stock and heat until boiling. Add in cranberry sauce and whipping cream, then boil and stir about 2 minutes or until mixture thickens. Finish with salt. 3. To make the maple mashed sweet potatoes, combine all ingredients into a bowl until well combined. 4. Once the gravy and mashed potatoes are cooked, in a small casserole dish add the mashed potatoes, then top with the shredded turkey and then top with the cranberry gravy. Top with shredded gruyere cheese. 5. Combine panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and spread over the shredded cheese. 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 – 20 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly. 7. While the dip bakes, toast and cut Swirl Bread into dipping sticks 7. Meanwhile, fry a few sage leaves in butter. As soon as the dip comes out of the oven, finish with fried sage leaves and pomegranate arils.
