Taffy Apple Cinnamon Swirl Bread Sandwich
This sandwich is cool, fluffy, sweet and downright delicious.
1 (15-ounce) can pineapple chunks
1 ¼ cups mini marshmallows
½ egg, beaten
½ tablespoon flour
1 ½ tablespoons distilled white vinegar
½ cup sugar
1 cup peanuts
1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping, thawed
2 green apples, diced
2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine pineapple juice, egg, flour, vinegar and sugar. Cook until mixture thickens. Transfer to a bowl, cover and refrigerate overnight.
3. The next day, add chilled sauce to pineapple-marshmallow mixture. Stir in peanuts, whipped topping and apples.
4. Spoon mixture onto toasted bread slice, top with second toasted bread slice and enjoy.
