Swirl Bread Spring Pudding

Bread pudding is even more decadent when you make it with Thomas’® Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread.

Ingredients

6 slices Thomas’® Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread, cubed
1 cup strawberries, sliced
4 eggs
2 cups milk
½ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Maple syrup, to serve (optional)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Divide cubed bread between 4 greased ramekins. Poke strawberries in among bread cubes and set ramekins aside.
2. In a medium bowl, beat eggs, milk, sugar, nutmeg and salt. Pour over bread. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes or until knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar and maple syrup, if desired.
