Salsa Turkey English Muffin Burgers

Our Turkey Salsa Muffin burgers are the perfect end to a hard day.

Ingredients

4 Thomas'® Light Multi-Grain English Muffins, split
12 oz lean ground turkey
1/2 cup drained in a sieve store bought chunky salsa
1 large egg white
2 oz thinly sliced aged part-skim cheddar or Swiss cheese (optional)
4 slices red onion

Directions

Combine turkey, 1/4 cup salsa and egg white in a large bowl, tossing to combine well with hands. Form into 4 patties. Preheat a lightly oiled grill over moderate heat and grill onions, turning, until golden brown and tender, about 6 minutes. Transfer to a plate as cooked. Grill burgers until cooked through, about 6 to 7 minutes per side, topping them with cheese during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Transfer to plate as cooked. While burgers are cooking grill split sides of muffins, until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Serve burgers on English muffins topped with grilled red onions and remaining 1/4 cup salsa.
