French Toast Cinnamon Swirl Bread Flowers
Impress someone sweet with this swirl-icious take on French toast.
4 slices Thomas’® Cinnamon Swirl Bread
⅓ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon powdered sugar
Maple syrup, to serve
2. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk and vanilla. Set aside.
3. Use a rolling pin to flatten each bread slice on cutting board. Cut each slice vertically into 3 strips. Roll each strip up, one at a time, dunk into egg mixture and place in mini muffin cups. Once all 12 bread strips have been rolled, dunked and placed in the pan, distribute remaining egg mixture among each muffin cup.
4. Bake for 10 minutes, or until eggs are cooked. Sprinkle powdered sugar over tops and serve warm with maple syrup.
