Ingredients

3 Thomas’® Original English Muffins, split
1 tablespoon canola oil
¼ cup milk
¼ cup half and half, or cream
2 large eggs
1½ tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Powdered sugar, optional
Strawberries, optional
Maple syrup, optional

Directions

1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Top a large plate with several layers of paper towels.
2. Thoroughly mix the milk, half and half (or cream), eggs, sugar and vanilla in a shallow bowl. Submerge 1 of the English muffin halves in the mixture, ensuring it is completely soaked.
3. Once the oil is hot, add soaked muffin half to the pan and cook for 30 seconds on 1 side. Flip and continue to cook until golden brown. Carefully remove, shake off excess oil and place on the paper towel-lined plate. Repeat process with remaining muffin halves.
4. Serve warm with powdered sugar, sliced strawberries and maple syrup.
