All American English Muffin Breakfast Burger

Ingredients

1 Thomas’® Original English Muffin
¼ pound ground beef
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 slice Swiss cheese
1 teaspoon butter
1 lettuce leaf
Ketchup, optional
Mustard, optional
1 slice tomato

Directions

1. Heat grill to medium-high. Shape ground beef into a patty and season with salt and pepper. Place on hot grill and cook to desired doneness. Top with cheese and cover grill with lid to let cheese melt. Transfer to plate.
2. Split English muffin with a fork and butter both halves. Toast on grill for 1-2 minutes.
3. Build burger. Layer lettuce on toasted English muffin base. Top with cheeseburger, ketchup and/or mustard (if using), tomato and toasted English muffin top.
